SUCCESS!

Well last night was my first basketball practice with the boys. It went really well actually. I was worried about not having enough drills to run and everything but we didn't have a problem filling the time.

I have a few boys that are really good and then some that think they are really good but need some work. Overall I think we will have a pretty good season.

Well I took the plunge...

I am now a head coach for 5th & 6th grade boys basketball here in Milwaukie. I believe this is going to be a fun experience but time will only tell. I hold my first practice this Tuesday and will also be holding a parents meeting to let everyone know how this season will run and I have to give them my coaching philosophy...

Go team!

DENNIS DIXON FOR HEISMAN

Holidays means FOOD!

Okay, fine. Time for a blog not about football.

Time is flying by so fast! It's almost Christmas time and then I will be able to meet my 2 new nieces. Plus Gem's boyfriend (Eric) will be coming up as well. This is going to be a very different holiday. Tons more people.

But obviously before we hit Christmas we have to feast on wonderful food. Thanksgiving rocks. Thanksgiving this year will be with Brea's side of the family. We are having it our house this year. Kind of cool because that means we get to keep all the leftovers! :)

We just went to the store and bought 4 Sara Lee pies....MMMMM....

Don't tell Brea but I just might have to eat one of them before Thanksgiving. HAHA.

Tomorrow's the big day

Tomorrow Oregon Ducks play the undefeated Arizona State Sun Devils. I will be at the game, it's going to be good. Hopefully the Ducks will put out a win.

Oregon Ducks (7-1, 4-1 Pacific-10) has the top rushing offense in the conference with an average of more than 280 yards a game on the ground.

Arizona State Sun Devils (8-0, 5-0) has a passing offense that's ranked third in the Pac-10. It is anchored by Carpenter, who has thrown for 2,168 yards this season with 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Go Ducks!!!
