I am now a head coach for 5th & 6th grade boys basketball here in Milwaukie. I believe this is going to be a fun experience but time will only tell. I hold my first practice this Tuesday and will also be holding a parents meeting to let everyone know how this season will run and I have to give them my coaching philosophy...

That's awesome Jake! How did you get involved in that? You'll be a great coach. If you weren't my brother, the next best thing I would want you to be is my 6th grade basketball coach!
I get involved through a buddy of mine who coach's 7th grade girls. The 6th grade boys needed a head coach (since it is volunteer it's sometimes hard to fill if a parent won't take it)
My buddy said he thought I should do it so I did.
Well how has coaching been going for ya ? That is an exciting role !! I loved my coach's in sports and thats is neat!!
